LIPS.

Immediately Afterwards
➵ There is no after pain, only a dryness on the lip edge. Your lips may appear swollen or tender.
➵ Your lips will appear much darker at first (they will fade by 50%).
➵ Apply the aftercare cream constantly to keep the lips moist. This will help prevent infection, keep the lips from drying out, minimise any pigment coming out as well as for effective healing.
Do not use Paw Paw ointment.

Aftercare
➵ No lipstick for 7 days (if you must wear lipstick, use only a new lipstick that has not been used before as it does not contain bacteria)
➵ Please avoid spicy food & hot drinks for the first day. No direct water for 3 days; try and use a straw.
➵ Please avoid kissing for 3 days.
➵ No picking at the tattooed area as colour can come away whilst bonding. Your lips will exfoliate on their own (usually on day 3 or 4). Aftercare cream will assist with the dry skin.
➵ Cover your tattoo with Vaseline when bathing/swimming. Rinse the area gently and pat dry.
➵ No soap or cleansers to be used on the treated area for 5 days after the procedure (as this may cause fading or colour change)
➵ No sun, sauna, jacuzzi, swimming (pools or ocean) for 5 days after the procedure (as this may cause fading or colour change)
➵ Cold Sores – If you a prone to getting cold sores, you will more than likely break out. This may be due to the stress on the lips. Please consider using cold sore creams or taking anti-viral medication to avoid this.

Colour
➵ The colour will appear brighter and more sharply defined immediately following the procedure.
➵ The colour will lighten by 50% and soften in 3-10 days after your treatment. The true colour will show within 4 weeks.
➵ Your lips will exfoliate on their own (usually on day 3 or 4). Aftercare cream will assist with the dry skin.
➵ The colour will look different at various time of the day; this is due to your own skin responses. Different lighting will show a slight colour change.

Touch-Up Procedure
➵ Within 2 weeks, your tattoo will have mostly healed. The initial intensity and thickness will fade and the desired colour shade will begin to appear (usually week 4-6)
➵ If you would like to make any changes to your tattoo or fill in any areas requiring modifications (some area may have faded/lightened), this would be the time to do so.
➵ During ‘touch-up’ the original procedure will be repeated. This encourages the pigment to embed more permanently in the skin for a long-lasting tattoo.
➵ You should not require another appointment (touch-up/colour refresher) for a least 1 - 3 years.

Longevity of Your Tattoo
➵ Proper aftercare is a VERY IMPORTANT aspect of the overall satisfaction, success and health of your tattoo It is highly recommended that you follow the aftercare instructions given so that you can achieve the best possible outcome.
➵ The aftercare instructions will help limit/prevent any infection or additional problems and ensure that a healthy and successful healing process is attained.
